This morning as the kids were eating lunch, I heard a scratching sound at the back door. I looked to see who it was and saw this huge soft shell turtle trying to get in! This kind bites (Carl says), so we all just got to look for a minute (but not touch). Then Carl and the kids drove to a nearby canal to let him go. You can see some scratches on his shell from crawling under our fence. Poor thing.

We recently bought our granddaughter Brittany a turtle; I'm going to bookmark this page, she will love it. He is probably happy to be back in familiar waters.
